About Our School

Calvary is one of over 82 Australian Lutheran Schools and offers a Christ-centred education with experienced staff in an attractive, safe and well supervised area.

Aims

• Serve students, parents/caregivers, the Church, the community and the government by providing a quality education
• Achieve excellence in the development and creative use by all students of their God given gifts
• Equip students for a life of service to God in the Church and the community
• Provide an alternative to secularistic, humanistic philosophy of education
• Provide instruction as part of the formal curriculum for all students in the truths of God, deliberately and consciously from the perspective of the Scriptures and Confessional Lutheranism

Objectives

• That students at Calvary will develop positive attitudes towards themselves and their learning
• That all students develop adequate basic skills in the areas of reading, mathematics and writing by the completion of Year 7
• That students will be progressively challenged at a level appropriate to their ability through a variety of stimulating experiences
• That the students will experience success which will then develop confidence in themselves and their abilities
• That students, teachers and parents will have expectations and trust in students developing their own skills and abilities to become independent learners
